Every person has talent. History just decided some people's talents weren't worth developing. We disagree, plainly and completely. Career Planning is where we prove it, by helping you discover what you're good at and turn it into a real direction.
This service is for adults with developmental disabilities who want to explore work but aren't sure where to start. Through Ohio DODD's Career Planning, you try different ways to explore jobs, test your interests, and build the skills employers value. It's not about fitting you into whatever's available. It's about finding work that fits you.
Here's how it works. We help you examine your interests, experiences, and strengths. Then we translate them into a plan: goals you set, steps you can take, and skills you'll grow along the way. Some people leave with a clear career target. Others discover an interest they never knew they had. Both are progress. Both are yours.
